FACTS welcomes 28.085 visitors for the Spring edition of 2022
Huge turnout for indoor event at Flanders Expo
GENT - 3 APRIL - Next to the ‘Ronde van Vlaanderen’, the other obvious entertainment choice for this weekend was probably to be found in Flanders Expo, at the pop culture event FACTS, Your Belgian Comic Con. On Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 April, a whopping 28.085 fans could meet world-famous actors and comic artists, and show off their passions for films, series, games, board games and other pop culture phenomena. Even in these troubled times, this major theme park-style event continues to attract huge crowds.
Anyone who likes to curl up on the couch for an evening of Netflix, pop the occasional superhero film on the screen or press 'play' on a game console could have had the time of their lives at FACTS. Actors from Marvel, Harry Potter and Outlander descended from the star-studded firmament, major players such as Sony Pictures, Disney+, FOX and Streamz showed their new titles in original activations, and in addition to the many shows, workshops and activities, there were many other unique encounters to be had.
This celebration of pop culture in a fantasy theme is supported behind the scenes by the Heroes network, an international cooperation between 9 events in 3 countries. Under the same umbrella, the 'Manga Con' Made in Asia, an event focusing on anime, manga and internet culture, will be held in Brussels Expo on April 8-9-10.
The next edition of FACTS, Your Belgian Comic Con, will take place on 22-23 October 2022, again in Flanders Expo Ghent. More info on www.facts.be.
