Stranger Things' Gaten Matarazzo is coming to Ghent!
Stranger Things star visits FACTS Spring 2019, 6-7 April, Flanders Expo Ghent
Gaten Matarazzo is a star of the Netflix hit series Stranger Things. He portrays Dustin Henderson, one of the protagonists in this story. He will reprise this role in the upcoming third season of Stranger Things, that premieres on Netflix on July 4th this year. And now, he's a guest at FACTS Spring 2019, on April 6-7, in Flanders Expo Ghent.
Gaten Matarazzo portrays the intelligent, funny, loyal, and sometimes a little foul-mouthed Dustin Henderson in Stranger Things. His cute smile and disarming innocence made him an immediate fan favourite.
But Stranger Things isn't the first rodeo of this talented young man. Gaten Matarazzo was the star in several Broadway musicals. He was Gavrosh in Les Misérables, Benji in Priscilla: Queen Of The Desert, and he starred in several other big productions on the big scene. His first appearance on the international television screen was in an episode of the series The Blacklist in 2015.
Matarazzo has a case of cleidocranial dysostosis (CCD), a medical condition that affects the bones and teeth. He is brave enough to not hide his condition; he rather uses his fame to raise awareness and to fundraise money for CCD organisations. Fun fact: when Matarazzo was cast as Dustin, the writers integrated scenes regarding CCD into the script of Stranger Things.
Gaten Matarazzo has won an 'Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series' award in the Screen Actors Guild Awards and the award for 'Best Actor' in the Shorty Awards, both for his performance of Dustin Henderson in Stranger Things.
Gaten Matarazzo will be a guest for FACTS Spring 2019, on April 6-7 in Flanders Expo Ghent. He will be available for photoshoots, autograph sessions and panels on both days.
